Welcome to The Unfinished Bookshelf, a place where I can live my best literary life. Here you’ll find book reviews and recommendations, plus posts discussing travel, relationships, mental health and studying. Despite my overflowing bookshelves, I can never resist the urge to browse in bookshops and usually leave with at least one book tucked under my arm.
I’m a journalist by day and studying a Masters of Arts (Writing and Literature) at Deakin University. When I’m not doing this though I can be found curled up on the couch, wine in one hand and ice cream in the other, binging Netflix. Usually I’m joined by my boyfriend Jack and our pug Percy. We’re murderinos so you’ll always find something horrifying in our ‘currently watching’ alongside our favourite British sit-coms.
I’ve always got a podcast playing on my phone and hit the airwaves myself as the co-host of a fortnightly literary podcast, Better Words, featuring interviews with talented creative types.
